Westonbury Mill Water Gardens

Scroll to explore

Well... today was a memorable adventure! I started the day driving in a Volkswagen Caddy and ended up being the passenger in a Volkswagen Amarok - Yup, my van - with all it's unique charm and character - decided it wanted a break.

Anyway unexpected excitement aside I had a lovely afternoon down Leominster at Westonbury Mill Water Gardens - my van enjoyed it even more and is currently still sat in the car park awaiting recovery - dear owners, it'll be gone soon, promise!

I thoroughly enjoyed going around the gardens and seeing the follies. The highlight for me was the giant water powered cuckoo clock with the stone water tower and glass bottle being fascinating too. The cafe kept me fed and watered whilst I waited for rescue and the staff were absolutely amazing making sure I was okay - couldn't have found a better place to break down, especially with the weather!

In terms of accessibility I managed to make it round a few times in three hours, granted there were a few steep bits but nothing the wheels couldn't get over. If you're with someone then it would be absolutely fine to get through unscathed.
